The Foreign Exchange was opened in 1975 by John Higgins. Rick Reilich was hired in 1979 as the service manager. Mr. Higgins had an opportunity to open Lexus of Dayton in 1990, at that time Rick Reilich purchased The Foreign Exchange with his wife Amy and his brother Kevin. Today, Rick’s four boys, Ricky, Billy, Chris, and David, work in the business, it is truly family owned.
Mr. Reilich often tells the story “when John Higgins hired me, he didn’t care how many cars we fixed or how much revenue we generated. He just didn’t want any unhappy customers.” This philosophy is still in place today. The Foreign Exchange thrives on serving customers by repairing their cars to the best of our ability, while helping to keep repair costs as low as possible.
